Why We Built This Site
Public court information in Wisconsin is spread across systems with different duties and access boundaries. WCCA displays public circuit case data, but the Milwaukee County Clerk of Circuit Court remains custodian of the official circuit file. A city court maintains its own citation and ordinance matters, while federal cases use PACER. Milwaukee County Court Docket was created to clarify these paths, including useful search identifiers, request channels, and office routing.
What You Will Find Here
- Case lookup instructions: ways to use a party name or case number in the statewide case search
- Docket explanations: local details for reading Milwaukee County civil dockets and criminal dockets
- Clerk requests: routes for obtaining court records, plain copies, and certified copies
- Hearing information: methods for checking the court calendar and confirming a setting
What We Cannot Do
Milwaukee County Court Docket is a private reference resource, not part of any Wisconsin court, clerk's office, or public agency. As a result, we cannot:
- Issue a certified docket, order, or other official document
- Retrieve an official case file on a visitor's behalf
- Seal, remove, correct, or otherwise alter a court entry
- Set, move, or cancel any hearing date
- Provide legal advice about an individual matter
- Promise that a fee, office detail, or schedule has not changed
An official or certified court record must come from the clerk or court that maintains the original file. This resource can identify that office but cannot supply the document.
Search Partners
Outside providers operate the search boxes shown on some pages. Each provider controls its results, terms, and prices. If a visitor follows a search tool to a paid service, Milwaukee County Court Docket may receive a referral payment that supports public access to this resource. We do not decide what the provider reports or charges.
